Inspired by the beautiful form and engaging eyes of a friend's dog, I began a series of paintings.  They are portraits, in a way, but candid.  My aim is to capture personality - the tilt of a head, a look in the eye - without cuteness or sentimentality. Commissions are encouraged! People have deep, heartfelt love for their dogs, and really enjoy having a painted portrait.
